If you have a health problem that is not serious enough for the Emergency Service (118) but needs swift attention call the Guardia Medica.
Be prepared to give them all your personal information: name, address, telephone number and description of your illness. The doctor on duty will advise you if you will receive a home visit or if you need to go to the nearest doctor on duty. You will be given the address of the closest Guardia Medica.
The visit is usually free at the offices but there may be a charge for a house visit.
Out of Hours Pharmacy
Your local pharmacy will have an updated weekly list of pharmacy opening hours in your area. By consulting this list you will be able to locate which pharmacy is open for service during off-duty hours.
