Well my favourite pass time is going to Porta Palazzo , as an Asian living here , i can find all Asian food stuffs there and the Farmers Market is my favourite, fresh vegetables and fruits come straight from their farm . On another note , Torino is surrounded by many small villages , now is the time of sagra (celebration of something) and there are so many to choose from , a great pass time on the weekends ...

A wonderful day away from Torino (and in fresher climates as well) is in one of the mountain resorts of the Val di Susa. We go to Montgenevre, which is just over the French border: mountain biking for the adventurous (equipment hire available from several shops), great views and walks - take the lift in the centre of town called "Chalvet", go for a walk at 2000m, have a French brasserie lunch at La Bergerie by the upper lift building and descend via the "summer bobsleigh" (14oom of "sledging" down the mountain, anyone over 1.25m high can do it by themselves, smaller children must go with an adult). There are also several simple restaurants in the centre of the village, and for the children try the tree-climbing adventure area at the far end of town.

I'd suggest PRO-POLIS in strada del Nobile 86/92
Nice, easy to reach and lovely ice-cream, huge field for kids to run and play and some farm animals to watch aswell
